Still Life with Lily of the Valley

Artist: Elvin Larsson

Medium: Oil on Canvas

Framed Dimensions: 14” x 19”

This elegant oil painting by artist Elvin Larsson captures a serene moment of domestic beauty. Measuring 14” x 19”, the composition features two white vases filled with delicate lilies of the valley, their soft blooms and green leaves rendered with gentle, impressionistic brushstrokes. A teal sphere rests beside the vases, adding a pop of color that contrasts with the muted blues and greens of the background, which suggests a softly lit corner of a room. Larsson’s skillful use of light and shadow creates a sense of depth and tranquility, making this piece a timeless addition to any collection.

Elvin Martin Allan Larsson (1913–1995) was a Swedish painter and draftsman known for his vibrant use of color and expressive brushwork. He exhibited widely across Sweden, including solo shows at Malmö Rådhus and Galleri Gummesons, and his work is held in major institutions like Moderna Museet and the Nationalmuseum.

This piece is in very good condition, consistent with its vintage age, with no obvious signs of wear.

All artwork is sold as found, and we always carefully photograph and highlight any notable signs of age.
